Please take out a sheet of lined, white paper and answer the following questions in blank ink. Keep your eyes on your own paper. I mean it. - College is about:
- Job training;
- Preparing for a fulfilling and lucrative career;
- Networking;
- All of the above.
- Choosing a college:
- Helps me relate to my child;
- Makes for poor dinner conversations;
- Seems to require a surprisingly enormous amount of time and effort on my part…and I'm not even the one who gets to go!
- Campus visits:
- Are a great way to get a feel for the college;
- Serve as a great bonding time for our family;
- Seem to occur at inconvenient moments in our busy schedule.
- Right now, I’d say the college search process:
- Is fairly manageable;
- Frightens me;
- Makes me want to hide during my child's senior year and just show up for the graduation ceremony;
- Feels like a hot piece of lead on my forehead.
Extra Credit TRUE or FALSE I want my child to make the best decision possible and will do what is necessary to make that happen.
